'I posted receipts': Beloved local pet sitter ghosts client mid-job, owner finds others with similar stories and pet parents team up to expose her publicly

One of the hardest parts of having pets (aside from cleaning up fur constantly) is leaving them when you go on vacation. Even when you're somewhere relaxing, you're still thinking about them. Are they okay? Do they miss me? Are they eating? Are they silently plotting my demise for leaving them?

Finding someone to watch them is usually a whole ordeal. You either have to board them at the local pet place that costs an arm and a leg while your fur baby sleeps alone in what's basically a hotel room… or you have to give your full trust to a stranger, let them into your home unsupervised, and just hope they show up, follow directions, and take care of your pets the way they said they would.

Most of the time, people do the right thing. But when they don't, pet parents aren't just going to let it slide. For this family, it started with one suspicious experience, but quickly turned into something much bigger.
